Our kindness policy
We’ve recently expanded our Kindness Policy to include anything and everything that contributes to a positive experience for your group and others.
To ensure everyone has a great time on these tours, you must abide by the following or we will find you a nice airport hotel where you can continue the rest of your trip…
If you like to yell at wait staff, argue with others, laugh loudly in reserved-to-be-quiet spaces, disrespect other cultures, or take stinky shoes off in our car… these trips are not for you.
You should find a bigger travel company that can meet all of your needs.
On Focused Escapes…
We are kind to each other.
We are kind and respectful of other cultures.
We do not trespass on private property or climb ancient artifacts not meant for climbing.
We don’t talk or laugh when other people are praying in mosques or temples.
We cover our bodies when it’s respectful to do so.
We use good hygiene.
We respect other’s personal space.
We don’t push our religious or political beliefs onto others.
And above all else, we contribute positively to the group.
All trips will now start with a 10-minute interview to ensure you’re the right fit.
If these statements are how you like to travel, too, then join us.
What we want is a good group of people to spend our time with in an unforgettable location.
I once traveled all the way to Namibia on a scouting trip.
When I made it to the top of my first sand dune, the site was so spectacular, I cried.
I felt unworthy of seeing something so beautiful. And I immediately wished I had someone there to share it with.
The greatest thing about these hand-crafted tours is the people who are attracted to them.
They’re a different kind of traveler.
Not the ones looking for the cheapest experience. And not the ones paying luxury prices to have all their bags carried and a butler to tend to their needs.
They’re true and kind explorers. Awesome people to share a sand dune with.
